2007 Open proposal to loan Otto Antoine's art work and personal artifacts to a major college or
university for the purpose of academic study.

Q: Who's Otto Antoine?

A: Very little is known about Otto Antoine. What we do know is that he was born on
October 22, 1865 in Coblenz, Germany, studied under Franz Skarbina at the Art
Academy in 1891 and produced numerous paintings, drawing and commercial art
pieces. We also know that he showed his art at the “Grosse Berliner
Kunstausstellung” during the summer months and traveled to the United States before
the second world War.

Q: How did you come by the over 200 pieces of Otto Antoine art?

A: My wife and I knew Otto Antoine's grandson, Fred Albright, and during the
mid 1990's we bought several painting from him and displayed them in our
Southern California home. During the late 1990's we bought more of paintings
and some personal artifacts that were kept in a trunk in a garage. We also
learned that Mr. Albright sold several large pieces to local art dealers in the
area.

Mr. Albright passed away in late 2000 at the age of 70

Q: Why do you want to loan the collection for study?

A: Exposure. When we first bought our paintings there were only two
references on the Internet related to Otto Antoine so my wife and I created a
website featuring Otto Antoine several years ago. As of July 2006 we have
received 12,629 "hits" on our old website and steady viewer traffic.

It's clear that many have an interest in art history, specifically 19th century
European painters, and a published study by a major university would help
expose Antoine's talents and elevate him to the Master Painter he is.
